Modelling Stage-discharge Relationships for Hydrological Stations in the Da River Basin using First-kind Chebyshev Polynomial Approximation

چکیده
Observed discharge time series is essential data for hydrological analysis, streamflow forecasting, as well water resources planning and management. Estimation of continuous generally based on the curves (or empirical models) that can properly simulate relationships between levels (stages) concurrent discharges observed at a particular station. For stations with complex hydraulic conditions, in addition to gauged stages gauging section, another variable such stage measured an auxiliary station (to calculate slope) or rate change added estimation process. This paper presents results applying first-kind Chebyshev polynomial approximation method constructing rating three Da river basin, each having different basin characteristics various influencing factors. The analysis using five evaluation indices (MAE, σ, Pbias, KGE, MAPE) show polynomials are highly effective modelling both simple stage-discharge relationships. suggested be used establishing hydrometry.

A glacier submodel was successfully integrated into the distributed hydrological model WaSiM-ETH to simulate the discharge of a heavily glaciated drainage basin. The glacier submodel comprises a distributed temperature index model including solar radiation to simulate the melt rate of glaciated areas. Meltwater and rainfall are transformed into glacier discharge by using a linear reservoir appr...

متن کاملChanges and Relationships of Climatic and Hydrological Droughts in the Jialing River Basin, China
The comprehensive assessment of climatic and hydrological droughts in terms of their temporal and spatial evolutions is very important for water resources management and social development in the basin scale. To study the spatial and temporal changes of climatic and hydrological droughts and the relationships between them, the SPEI and SDI are adopted to assess the changes and the correlations ...
